Family Foundations Sunday was incredible! The presence of the Lord prompted repentance, renewing and revelation. The FPC family received the ministry of Rev. Darrell Sparks (Portland, Oregon) and he ministered in both the morning and evening services. The messages were direct and life changing. The audio can be ordered from Odis Lomax (odislomax@yahoo.com).
Revival services begin tonight with Rev. Larry Blackwell and will continue through Thursday evening. Rev. Blackwell is one of our own and will be working in the evangelistic gift. He will be ministering to those who are coming to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. We are also believing for a special operation of the gifts of the Spirit and miracles. Believe with us!
We are expecting Sunday, March 28 to be a dynamic day of prayer, worship and works of the Holy Ghost. I will be bringing the morning and evening messages to the FPC family and will be praying that our God will minster to specific needs.

Sunday, March 14, 2010 Family Foundations Sunday
Jesus Name Greetings!
On Sunday, March 7, Rev. Larry Blackwell taught the sanctuary class on the subject of “Uzziah must die”. What a powerful and relevant lesson encouraging the class to remember that each of us is called to a specific role in the body and it is very important that we abide in that calling. The morning message, “Your Faith is greater than the Famine”, came to us as the first sermon of the Book of Ruth preaching series.
This week has been both exciting and exhausting. We have met with various focus groups each night this week to teach/discuss family and home issues. The audio of each session can be order from Brother Odis Lomax (odislomax@yahoo.com). The media team will hopefully have the session posted online at www.firstpentecost.com as soon as they are web ready. Subjects covered were; what is love, parenting in the 21st century, God’s order for the home, singles and students issues (with Rev. Darrell Sparks, Portland, Oregon), family/personal finance and finding love and companionship again.
Sunday, March 14 is Family Foundations Sunday with very special events happening in both services. The sanctuary class is set to be an Anti-Family Legislation Awareness session. Brother Bruce Wright, FPC Education Director, and I are teaming up to inform the FPC family of real-time efforts, by political and social entities, to erode parental authority.
The evening service is online to be a Family Symposium. We are gearing up to honor diamond (60+ years), golden (50-59 years) and ruby (40-49 years) marriages as well as hear a ‘marriage tip’ from each of them. A couple of other things are planned that I cannot divulge at the time…shhhhhhhhh!
The Lord is so good to us! The new church mortgage balance is just under $30, 200.00! Sister Burns and I are believing the Lord for a “Pay it off Spirit” to fall on the FPC family…Suddenly (get 3/7/2010 PM audio)!
Please invite someone to service with you and…Get Ready…Sunday’s Coming!!!

Jesus Name Greetings!
The FPC family is so blessed! God has favored us with so many outpourings of His Spirit and for that we are thankful and humbled. The move of God among every demographic in this congregation is amazing. Surely the coming of the Lord is upon us.
Last Sunday, February 21, began with discipleship classes for all ages; including a worship/teaching service to the residents of Decatur County rest home. We deeply thank Sister Rosalind Laster for all she does to make this ministry possible. Sister Glenda Ruff and Brother Manuel Ledbetter teamed up to minister in this class. Thank you!
Rev. Thomas Gray continued teaching the sanctuary class lesson series entitled “Restoration” from 1 Samuel 30. I had hoped to begin a sermon series taken from Book of Ruth. However, the service took some turns that brought us to preaching “This Glorious Gospel” of Jesus Christ. Thank God for the Plan of Salvation!
The evening service was amazing. Our evangelist, Rev. & Mrs. Jason Pearcy, ministered to the FPC family from the Temptation of Jesus in the sermon, “Led to be tempted; Driven to be Triumphant”. You really must get the audio (odislomax@yahoo.com)!
Sunday, February 28 is filled with promise and expectation. Rev. Thomas Gray will complete the “Restoration” series in the sanctuary class, Elder & Mrs. James Darby will conduct the rest home service and I am scheduled to deliver the morning message to the FPC family. In the evening service, we will receive the ministry of our dear friends, Rev. & Mrs. James Pearcy, Waynesboro, Tennessee…

Jesus Name Greetings!
On February 14 Love is celebrated in many ways. The FPC family came together on Sunday, February 14 to rejoice and again receive the marvelous Love of God. The Sunday morning message entitled ‘The Gospel”. came to us from 1 Thessalonians 1:5.
In the evening service, Rev. Heath Daniels, Madison, Mississippi, ministered from Hebrews 13:10 in the message “We Have an Altar”.
The Lord Jesus spoke to each heart and the day was completed as 5 year old Anna Jones was baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and 7 year old, Zachary Anglin (the first water baptismal candidate of the year) received his personal Pentecost. To God be the Glory!
I would like to encourage every follower of this blog to reach Brother Odis Lomax (odislomax@yahoo.com) and order your audio copy of the current Wednesday evening teaching series entitled “His Glorious Church”. The Lord Jesus is speaking to His Church to prepare ourselves for His soon return.

Jesus Name Greetings!
We rejoice over all the Lord has done these past few days. Sunday, February 7 was an exciting day of celebration as the FPC family received the guest ministries of Rev. & Mrs. Ron Brown and Rev. & Mrs. Phillip Miller. Rev. Brown preached a powerful message…”Don’t let your past crowd out your future” in the morning service, and Rev. Miller blessed the FPC family with the message…”Serpent Eggs” in the Sunday evening service. Sister Burns and I are so thankful that 2 precious children received the Holy Ghost over the weekend. Hannah Anglin and Kaylynn Diller experienced their personal Pentecost!
Great things are happening at FPC, and we are excited and anticipate a continued outpouring of the Holy Ghost this coming Sunday. Rev. Thomas Gray will continue teaching his ‘Restoration’ series, and I will be bringing a special message concerning the Holy Ghost Baptism.
We will also be blessed by the ministry of Rev. Heath Daniels, Madison, Mississippi. Rev. Daniels interned at FPC during the summer break of his junior year of bible college and won our affection in simply laboring among us. He will be teaching in the student ministries session for ages 13 – High School and greeting the FPC family in the evening sanctuary service. We welcome Rev. Daniels!
We will be blessed by the various chorales, special singing, worship and move of the Holy Ghost among us! We encourage you to invite a friend and join us and…

Jesus Name Greetings!
Sister Burns and I greet you from the snow covered state of Virginia! The forecast is for 22+ inches by the end of the weekend. Pastor & Mrs. Jeff Dillon and the Cornerstone United Pentecostal church of Winchester, VA have been so gracious to invite us to minister in their pulpit this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and we are expecting the Lord to move for this great congregation in a very special way. Please help us pray for the Lord to perform all His plans for us. The church family has been in an extended season of consecration and they are expecting the Lord Jesus to visit the city of Winchester, VA with revival, harvest and divine favor!
Rev. Thomas Gray will begin a sanctuary class lesson series on the subject of Restoration this Sunday, February 7. He has shared some of his leadings with me and we are in for an exciting February in the sanctuary class. Should you miss a lesson, please order your audio copy from Brother Odis Lomax (odislomax@yahoo.com).
The FPC family will receive the guest ministry of our district superintendent, Rev. & Mrs. Ron Brown, for the 11:00 AM service. You will be blessed! We are so excited our district first family has agreed to minister in our absence. Please invite a friend and pray with us for a move of God. Sister Burns and I deeply regret not being there to receive them and can only pray that our affection and appreciation will flow to them through the FPC ministry team and membership.
Rev. & Mrs. Phillip Miller, Jackson, Tennessee, will be ministering in the Sunday PM service. The Miller’s are fond friends and are always such a blessing. I ask you to ‘preach with them’ and let the Lord have His way! Expect a move of God!
